Jewelry making gives me a satisfying creative challenge; the process of choosing beads, threads, findings, and making them into a piece of jewelry is a real challenge. When I began designing jewelry I made necklaces, bracelets, and earrings; now my focus has changed and I only create earrings ranging from Celtic to contemporary designs. I travel to craft shows throughout Maryland selling my earrings.
Recently, my artistic endeavors have expanded to include digital photography. Capturing images of nature and wildlife is both challenging and rewarding. This year (2010), one of my photographs, a picture of a white barn with a red roof won second prize in an art show judged by an art expert from the Corcoran Gallery of Art. |
