Treadles Studio is a working weaver's studio. Besides weaving items for sales and charity events, classes are offered including beginner four-shaft weaving, rigid heddle weaving, and workshops to strengthen and refresh weaving skills. Other workshops include miniature punch needle embroidery and color exploration.

The weaver, Misti Dayton, has been weaving over 10 years. She studied weaving at Springwater Fiber Workshop in Alexandria, VA, for several years, then apprenticed to teach. Misti has been designing and making miniature punch needle art for more than 12 years.

Currently, she practices several other fiber arts including sew, spin, felt, latch hook, knit, and crochet. She continually practices color exploration and incorporates basic color concepts in all her classes.

Treadles Studio is open Wednesdays and Thursdays 11 to 5, odd Saturdays, and any time by appointment.
