Fine Arts Photography, particularly nature/ landscape photography, for me is one of the joys in life. I try to capture in my images that part of our world that people generally overlook.
In the past 45 years I have had a number of photos published in books and magazines. In addition, I’ve conducted workshops in nature, zoo and black & white photography. Studying zoology and marine biology in college with 22 years of zookeeper experience as helped me to understand and to capture the natural world with my camera. In mid 2008 I began a self-assignment to capture Southern Maryland’s life; old buildings, nature and landscapes with my camera. In the past 30 years a tremendous transition in Southern Maryland has taken place. The natural world, open spaces and the history of Southern Maryland have been bulldozed under for the name of economic growth. My goal is to have my works displayed so that others can appreciate and become aware of the uniqueness of Southern Maryland. |
