Michael Santana is a voice and piano teacher. He received his Bachelor's of Music Education with a concentration in Voice and Piano from Longwood University. He serves as the music director for the Chesapeake Choral Arts Society and the Chorale at the College of Southern Maryland. He is also available for free-lance work as an accompanist and performer as a Bass/Baritone.
Michael has been teaching professionally for over twenty years, bringing a vast amount of experience to his studio and performances. Having been director of vocal and keyboard activities at Suitland High School's magnet school for Performing Arts, he is well-connected with the music community throughout the tri-state region. His specialty is helping high school students prepare for college auditions in the performing arts, with successful placement of his students to The Juilliard School, Oberlin, Boston Conservatory, New England Conservatory and many of the best schools in the country.
Michael's wife, Sherry Santana, offers acting coaching. She studied theater at Ball State and Towson University, and has been an actor and director of the theater community in Southern Maryland for more than 30 years.
