An actor, writer, musician and piano teacher, Lynne Katherine Bouchard resides in Waldorf, Maryland, where she owns and operates Ivory Moon Piano Studio. Ms. Bouchard currently has 42 students enrolled in her studio, which is known for its charitable involvement in the community and the world. Ivory Moon Piano Studio has held several benefit concerts, which have raised money for the victims of Huuricane Katrina, helped provide food and clothing for Charles County Children's Aid, and Christmas gifts for the chidren living in the Angel Watch Shelter in Hughesville, MD. The studio is currently planning a benefit concert to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
Lynne's first book, an inspirational memoir, Through the Stained Glass Window was published in June, 2009. She has held two book-signing events locally, and is scheduled for another in June of 2010, at Calvary Gospel Church in Waldorf, Maryland, where she will also speak about her journey from brokenness to healing.
As an actor, Ms. Bouchard was last seen in March, 2010 on the stage of the Bowie, Maryland Playhouse, where she played the role of Ethel in 2nd Star's production of On Golden Pond. Other favorite roles include Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Ernest, and Emma in Over the River and Through the Woods.
Ms.Bouchard is a member of the Maryland State Music Teacher's Association, The Music Teacher's Association of Charles County, and the National Guild of Piano Teachers. She also was a certified Kindermusik Instructor from 2002 to 2009, teaching music, dance and rhythm to infants and toddlers in Charles County. She also taught music and drama at Grace Brethrn Christian School in Waldorf for several years.
