Hi! I'm Jacquelyn Dinora. I have been painting with watercolor for about 10 years. I do mostly still life and some portraits. I love "pushing" watercolor. My favorite comment is "I didn't know you could make watercolor look like that!" My paintings usually have high contrast, bright light and beautiful subjects. I search antique shops and often borrow items from friends to use in my still life paintings. I paint from photographs that I take in my studio.
I show my work occasionally at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria and have won many awards in juried shows for the Baltimore Watercolor Society and Potomac Valley Watercolorists. I am looking forward to starting my "second" career as a full time artist in a few years. |
