Indian Head Center for the Arts
|
The Indian Head Center for the Arts is a physical building located at 4185 Indian Head Highway. It is managed by the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Chesapeake Bay Floating Theatre, Inc., and is dedicated to the cultural advancement of the region through education, arts and entertainment.
Within the Indian Head Center for the Arts, one can find the Black Box Theatre, a venue that presents arts and arts-related events to the people of Indian Head and its environs. The Black Box Theatre in the Indian Head Center for the Arts serves as a "venue for hire" for artists seeking a small, intimate setting for plays, musicals, recitals, exhibits, literary readings, etc. The result of this relationship is a win-win: artists have a venue in which to perform or exhibit their work, and the community is presented with a number of arts events to attend throughout the year at the Black Box Theatre. If you are an artist (visual, performing, literary, etc.) and interested in using our theatre or showing your work, give us a call at 301-743-3040 to discuss. |
