I am currently an art student at the College of Southern Maryland. In the fall of 2011 I plan to transfer to Maryland Institute College of Arts Master's in Teaching program, and then become an art teacher. 

I've been interested in drawing and painting for several years, and have recently taken a serious interest with learning the figure. There is an enormity to be learned in studying the human form. I also have been disciplining myself to learn to create exactly what I want; in other words, sticking with a project until it is precisely the way I envisioned it at the outset. I am experienced in oils, acrylics, water colors and oil pastels, as well as clay and drawing media. 

While I am not in a position to be commissioned to do ceramic work as I do not have access to a kiln outside of my school, I would be thrilled and willing to create works, portraits, still-lifes or any other project in any of the above media. I am well versed in creative problem solving, and have developed a strong commitment to perfection that I would be happy to apply to any commission!
