I have been painting since early teens, took time out to raise my children, then began in earnest to paint as much as I possibly could and to learn all that I could in order to paint better. I've learned much from a few instructors, but I believe that my particular "style" comes from trial and error and squeezing a whole lot of paint tubes and wearing out numerous brushes.

I've been painting portraits almost exclusively for the past five or six years, and have been focusing on "blues legend" personalities for three years. I've marketed these portraits through certain venues in the Mississippi delta region but have recently been offering my work on Amazon.com.  I have in past years been associated with a couple of art "guilds" in Charles county but found there was a bit too much "politics" and have opted to go my own way...

I also have instructed a few classes over the years, and now and then consider that I might do so again, but those thoughts are fleeting... Just so much I want to paint for the sheer pleasure of painting!

I guess there is really no reason, that I can think of for why anyone should be interested in contacting me...except perhaps just visiting my personal site and enjoying my work that's posted there. There are dozens of photos of events and festivals that I attend, some of which I use to paint from, in addition to slide shows of my portraits, and just regular paintings, too.
