Several years after graduating from Marymount College of Virginia with a B.A. in Commercial Art/Advertising, I found myself calling Southern Maryland my home. Having always felt the pull to create, I have not only sold paintings internationally and nationally, but have had many opportunities to inspire others artistically through teaching and volunteer work. I love living and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay with my amazing husband, being the mother of two wonderfully talented children, being "Nana" to my incredible one year old grandson, and owner of a rowdy yellow lab - Sunny the Wonder Dog.
At times, I find myself being pulled in many directions. But what I have learned over the years is that when I walk into my studio to create, I feel an undeniable sense of peace (most of the time). There are times I am so enveloped in the creative process, it is meditative - or what many refer to as "being in the zone." These are times of connectedness, when I feel the squeeze on my heart and a glow from my soul. I have a full and joyful life - no doubt about it. Peace&Love, E. |
