A Virginia native, Moyer is thrilled to be back in the mid-Atlantic region where he grew up and completed his undergraduate education at Old Dominion University. “I’m excited to get back to my roots on the Chesapeake Bay and to hands on experiences like managing an aquatic collection, interacting with the visitors and working with a great staff,” says Moyer.
“David brings a unique combination of experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm. The fact that he is originally from the Chesapeake Bay region, has a lot of experience with marine life support systems, and is committed to our educational goals make him a good fit for the museum’s needs,” said deputy director Sherrod Sturrock.
