“The Ballet Project”, a collaboration between the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) and the Ballet Arts Academy at the Old Waldorf School (BAA) was created as a way of bringing together professional dancers who are friends of the BAA’s Artistic Director to perform for our local Southern Maryland audience. It was first presented in 2008 by BAA’s founder, Jayne Stefani-Keating and has continued with great success under the Artistic Direction of Oscar Hawkins, Artistic Director and Ballet Master of the BAA.
Both Ms. Wiles and Mr. Hawkins are native residents of Maryland and attended the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC and trained there together.
Tickets for “The Ballet Project” are $5 and can be reserved by calling the CSM Box Office at 301.934.7828 or 240.725.5499.
“The Ballet Project” is supported by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive. Funding for the Maryland State Arts Council is also provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
